*Water Birth*

Many of my clients find great relief from the use of warm water therapy via a birth pool during labor. I have Birthing pools available for rent.  Mothers enjoy reduced discomfort and are able to relax more during the waves of labor. Being submerged in warm water often helps with keeping blood pressure stable, as well as lowering anxiety. It provides buoyancy, promotes more efficient uterine activity. Improves blood circulation resulting in better oxygenation of uterine muscles, less pain for the mother and more oxygen for the baby. Newborns benefit from a smooth transition from the watery womb to the dry air of the outside world. I’m trained to facilitate safe birth in the water. 

*VBAC *

Vaginal Birth after Cesarean is a viable and safe option for families desiring a home birth with midwives. With appropriate screening, healthy women wanting to have a home VBAC are welcome.

Studies show that those who are under midwifery care have a 30% less chance of a cesarean when giving birth for the first time and 40% less for woman who have disliked before. Midwife’s trust birth and are less likely to use medical interventions before or during labor.

I focus on my clients desires and helping labor to progress in a natural way. I also focus on the positioning on the baby and how it can impact labor. Malpostistioned babies are one of the main reasons for a cesarean birth.

*Postpartum Visits*

My  postpartum visits are designed to care for the new mother and her newborn, to ensure a supportive transition for both as well as the rest of the family. During this time, I’m on-call for the family and available to answer any questions they may have or address concerns that arise during the first six weeks after delivery. I do two home visits to check on my new mothers at 24hrs and 5-7 days after delivery. During this time   I offer Yoni Steams to encourage postpartum healing and if the parents desires I provide postnatal  testing (metabolic screening) in the warm comfortable environment of your own home.  Then your two,four and six weeks postpartum will be continued at my office in Redlands.

$150 for a 90min in office postpartum and well baby visit

$1000 for 48hr in-home postpartum and well baby care for unassisted births  

*Prenatal Massage*

Prenatal massages are known to enhance the physiological and emotional well-being of both mother and baby. It can enhance mother-baby bonding as well as reconnecting the mother to -be to her rapidly changing body during such a sacred season of life. Extra care and attention are given to the mother's comfort and stage of pregnancy. Each session is tailored to the mothers needs as they move through each trimester of pregnancy. Hot rocks, cupping and aromatherapy are available during this session.

*Restorative Postpartum Massage* 

Soothing gentle strokes are used to encourage blood circulation, lymphatic fluid flow and ease tired muscles. Postpartum massage is wonderful for helping return the body to its pre-pregnancy state and can speed up recovery by promoting relaxation, providing pain relief, and lower stress. I can offer breastfeeding and postpartum support during these sessions as well. Optional but strongly encouraged, bring your baby for a special bonding experience. I believe that mother and baby are one unit in the first  months  after birth. It’s important that mothers and babies stay together as they bond and  build their breastfeeding relationship together. 

$120 for a 60min Postpartum Massage

Midwifery care isn’t just limited to pregnancy and babies, I can also provide well women care! Im able to provide annual exams, pap smear’s, breast exams, fertility support and give you guidance on issues you may have with your menstrual cycle or the pri-menopausal season. I focus on practicing true informed consent, making  sure your feeling safe and comfortable with me.  It’s the perfect opportunity to experience  the Midwifery Model of Care.
